Alex Wilmot-Sitwell is Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He is responsible for the execution and development of the bank’s business activities and support functions in the EMEA region. These span corporate, commercial and investment banking, treasury services, sales and trading and credit cards. He is also responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of the broad Bank of America Merrill Lynch franchise to its corporate and institutional clients in these regions.
Based at the bank’s European headquarters in London, Wilmot-Sitwell chairs the bank’s EMEA Executive Committee and is a member of the Global Banking, and Markets Committee. He is also director of Merrill Lynch UK Holdings and MBNA Limited and chairs the boards of Merrill Lynch International (MLI), Merrill Lynch International Bank Limited (MLIB) and Bank of America Merrill Lynch International Limited (BAMLI).
Wilmot-Sitwell is a strong advocate of developing relationships between business and the community and actively supporting education and children’s charity organisations. He is a vice president of Save the Children Fund (UK).
